The Russian D-Sampler is used in very, very soft and wet conditions.

The sampler is made from a half-tube (longitudinally) of stainless steel with one pointed aluminium end, a cover flap (blade) and a connection for extension rods.

The sampler is pushed into the very soft material until at the desired depth, the flap excludes unwanted materials until the sample is required and then by turning the T-Handle (supplied separately) the half-tube rotates and the flap traps the sample inside while the sampler is removed.

Made in 50mm, 62mm or 75mm tube and up to 750mm long sample lengths  but maximum 500mm recommended.
