Dormer Soil Samplers is our new trading name for the soil sampling equipment and has replaced the former, Dormer Engineering, which is now used for other work.

Dormer Soil Samplers is a small Australian owned business that specialises in the design and manufacture of portable, hand operated soil sampling & drilling equipment for use in soils and sands, both dry and wet.

We have been manufacturing this equipment in Australia since 1953 and have a worldwide reputation for excellent quality and simplicity of use. We now export direct to 74 countries. See our Resources page for agents details.

The trading name, Dormer Soil Samplers, is registered by the Office of Fair Trading under the Department of Commerce in New South Wales, Australia and the registration number is BN98403519. Dormer Engineering/Dormer Soil Samplers have been a continuous member of the New South Wales Business Chamber (formerly named Chamber of Manufacturers of NSW) since 1965.

The business was purchased from the founder, Rupert Dormer, in 1995. Ian Baker is the manager of Dormer Soil Samplers and managing director of Ryannette Pty Ltd. Ian is also a member of the Rotary Club of Murwillumbah Central, District 9640 Australia.
